Maggie’s Journey to Grooming Excellence
With a lifelong connection to animals and over a decade of professional grooming experience, Maggie brings a unique blend of international training, rural expertise, and advanced animal-care skills to the Australian pet care and grooming industry.
Growing up on a traditional farm in Ireland, Maggie developed an early understanding of animal behaviour and welfare in an outdoor, hands-on environment. She later completed formal grooming and animal-handling training in Ireland before expanding her skill set into specialised equine work, including technical horse riding in Ireland Sydney’s Fox Studio Riding School.
Since relocating to Australia, Maggie has built a strong 10-year career in the grooming industry, recognised for her calm handling skills, breed-specific grooming knowledge, and ability to work with anxious or high-needs pets.
She has been a grooming instructor where she shared her technical expertise and modern styling techniques Academy of Dog Grooming. Maggie also gained valuable clinical-side experience during her employment at Rosebery Veterinary Hospital, where she worked alongside veterinarians and vet nurses, strengthening her understanding of animal health, behaviour, and safety protocols.
Today, Maggie is a trusted grooming professional known for her warm approach, high standards, and genuine passion for the wellbeing of every animal in her care. She is well known within the Veterinary community from Maroubra to Inner West.
Today, Maggie is also the proud owner of the popular pet grooming salon in Pagewood, Dog Salon, where she brings her expertise, care, and creativity to pets and their owners every day.
